Gatti's has been satisfying pizza cravings for over 47 years. Our founder, James Eure, opened The Pizza Place in September 1964 in Stephenville, Texas. In 1969, he moved to Austin, and opened "Mr. Gatti's" as a tribute to his wife's maiden name.
James Eure worked long hours to master the elements that make people crave pizza: real cheese (no imitations allowed), yeast-risen dough made fresh every day, our signature tangy pizza sauce and toppings that can't be topped. It wasn't long before Gatti's were popping up all over the Southwest.
Mr. Gatti’s is Established
Our founder, Mr. James Eure, opened The Pizza Place in September 1964 in Stephenville, Texas. In 1969, he moved to Austin and opened “Mr. Gatti’s” as a tribute to his father-in-law. Mr. James Eure worked long hours to master the elements that make people crave pizza: real cheese, yeast-risen dough made fresh every day, our signature tangy pizza sauce, and toppings that can’t be topped. It wasn’t long before Gatti’s was popping up all over Texas and the Southeast. It turns out that people crave fun as much as they crave delicious pizza, so we decided to give them both!
We Find Our Look
After years of bringing people delicious pizza and family fun, we designed and rolled out a logo for Mr. Gatti’s. We use that classic “G” to this day.
Honesty Is the Best Policy
During the 80s and 90s, some buffet stores featured state-of-the-art game rooms, beginning an evolution that eventually led to the creation of GattiTown, a 25,000-square-foot superstore devoting 10,000 square feet to a colossal Midway-type game room. That’s when we decided to tell the world what we were about: the best pizza in town…honest!
GattiLand Comes to Life
Gatti’s has always been in the business of serving up boundless fun alongside savory pizza. In 1994, we unveiled GattiLand, a game room featuring state-of-the-art arcade games attached to many Gatti’s locations.
GattiTown Logo Unveiled
By 1999, we knew GattiTown was here to stay. To bring the concept of delicious buffet pizza and Midway-style gaming into the new century, we unveiled a new logo for GattiTown.
A New Look for Gatti’s Pizza
To keep our look as fresh as our pizza, we updated our logo to reflect both our forward-thinking innovations in serving up pizza and fun as well as our commitment to classic tastes that are as delicious as you remember.
